Great find. I love polls.

Edwards over Gingrich in the first-ever unanimous election! A Black woman presidental candidate carries the South. O, brave new world that has such people in it.

I didn't spend hours, but here are the top candidates I found, ranked in the order of how they dominated the opposition:

Rudy (beats everyone)
FDR (beats Reagan)
McCain (squeaks by Edwards, beats Clinton and all other Dems)
Edwards (loses to Rudy, barely loses to McCain and stomps every other Repub)
Clinton (crushes everyone but McCain and Rudy)

But would the Repubs nominate Rudy or McCain?

I can't see any wing of the Dems getting it together enough to shut any candidate out over ideological purity.

They do things the old-fashioned way: leave it to the fine folks of the Midwest and New Hampshire to shake their hands, size them up with homespun gumption and bootstrappin' folksiness and then vote for whichever one promises the most pork.

Who will then lose on Super Tuesday if his last name ends with the word "sack".
