Yeah, I'm still sore about the whole Johnny Damon thing, still. I was watching an ESPN recap of one of the recent Yankees' trouncings of the Red Sox, and they were saying what a presence he brought to the Yanks, and blah blah blah.
I think the real problem was that Boston had a management void dugint a crucial time... a time during which they lost a star player to their arch rivals, and failed to build the team in places where it was needed.
The White Sox has a bad streak about this time, last year, too... but it still wasn't as bad as it is this year. The stellar pitching staff of last year seems to be floundering terribly since the All-Star break, and the thundersous offense has dissapeared, too. Though, the ChiSox did recently take 2/3 from Detroit... so maybe it's not all bad...

That would deprive us of seeing the Mets beat the Yanks!
But yeah, I'm forced to write off the Red Sox and just hope they're smart enough to deepen their dugout over the off-season.
