I voted for Hillary in 2000 and this kind of thing just pisses me right off. I wrote her a letter, and her response was to put me on her mailing list touting her accomplishments. A person in her position (far and away the early frontrunner for the '08 primaries) can do one of two things, energize and codify the left or run to the right. She's chosen the latter, which might appease a few congressmen anxious to shelter themselves from the Abramoff storm, but will do nothing to swing right-leaning voters who would hate her even with a Buchanan endorsement and an abortion-clinic-bombing or her record. She will lose in '08, one way or the other. I just hope it's in the primaries.
